Hello,

I was testing with the audiomoth USB mic and realized the firmware was delivered as firmware 1.3.0.

(plugged into PC USB port for live reading trough app)

So I updated it to the latest 1.12.1.

After this the mic stopped recording sound using the live app in all modes.

After messing with the config app for a bit i couldnt get it to read the live recording trough the Live app anymore.

I then decided to try to downgrade the firmware back to 1.3.0 to see if it would work again.

It began flashing both lights and the flash app loading bar disapeared.

I then tried switching off USB/off mode to test the live app reading and the lights stopped working in all 3 modes as the device was no longer recognized.

I can get readings of 2,99V with 0μA over the devices various components using a multimeter.

I believe doing so blew a component in the device?

I am by no means a hardware expert btw.

Also I while writing this I decided to test the other mic i still had left unopened (i bought a second as a spare).

It works fine with also default firm1.3.0 (didnt update)

But I do have to say the mode lever instantly broke on its first ever use.

Bought from GroupGets online store about a month ago. I decided to atleast share my experience with the audiomoth here. Idk if i'll come back to this post, it's not like i have uses for replacements anymore since i gave up on getting my project to work proper.
