Problem with AudioMoth v1.2.0 and Kaleidoscope Pro
Hello,
I have AudioMoth 1.2.0 from Open Acoustic Devices and Kaleidoscope Pro from Wildlife Acoustics. My problem is that I can’t process the files produced by AudioMoth. During batch processing, I always get the same error message saying that no data was found.
I’ve been thinking that the problem might be that the files from AudioMoth are T.WAV files rather than WAV files. The AI—Claude—said that this is the problem, because Kaleidoscope can only handle WAV files.
After that, I tried to convert these T.WAV files into regular WAV files. But that didn't work either.
What could be the problem?
Thanks for your ideas.
Best regards

Hi, Can you share one of the files that is causing problems. Is it every file that causes an error, or an error occurs on a single file in a batch which prevents further processing? There may be short files with no audio data within them if an SD card write error has occured. These are still valid WAV files but have no audio data within them. The T.WAV files are also valid WAV files, but have the silent periods embedded within them as silent blocks of data. You should expand them using the tools in the Config App before processing so that you have the correct event spacing and timing in the expanded files. Alex
