High-pitched noise showing as horizontal lines on spectrograms
Hi - I'm using an old 1.1.0 Audiomoth as a USB microphone connected to a Raspberry Pi (running BirdNET-Go). Everything works fine except I'm getting a high-pitched whine, appearing as regularly spaced lines on spectrograms (see screenshot below).
I've searched around, but haven't figured out the problem. At first, I thought it might be the power supply, but changing from mains PSU to a USB battery pack didn't make any difference. I also tried using a USB cable with ferrite beads, which also didn't affect the noise. It's not the Raspberry Pi either, as I get the same noise using my MacBook.
I'd very much appreciate any ideas about what's causing it and if/how I can resolve it.

Hi, How close together are the Raspberry Pi and the AudioMoth? People have experienced interferecnce from the Raspberry Pi when packaged up together in housings. Do you see the same noise when running on a laptop? Monitors and power supplies often generate noise but this seems more significant. My first guess would be to try a few USB cables as we've definately seen some cables being more noisy than others. Alex
