Silicone between mic and waterproof case?

Maybe a stupid question, but would adding a dot of silicone between the mic and the waterproofcase "amplify" sound under water?

Maybe a stupid question, but would adding a dot of silicone between the mic and the waterproofcase "amplify" sound under water?
Hi, I doubt it would make much difference as the front face of the PCB is pushed quite firmly against the housing. The silicone would possibly damage the MEMS microphone or clog the port. Alex
