Fixing broken Audiomoth - water damage

Hello,

I'm using several Audiomoths and two have of them have broken due to being left out in the rain and humidity for too long (currently working in the tropics). They turn on still and connect to the config app but they are not making or saving any recordings. I wonder if it is a problem with the Prog section on the circuit board. The gold paint looks worn/blown and there was white residue below.

It's probably a lost cause but does anyone know of a way to fix them? I've tried cleaning the components with 95% alcohol and a small brush. I'm wondering if using conductive paint on the gold sections would help?

cheers

Hi James,

Could you send a picture of the damage?

Cheers,

Andy
