Power Outputs
I have tested (and read in the user manual) my current AudioMoth (1.1.0) and found that it has a 3.3 volt output as part of the GPIO. It appears to be always on. I am curious if this could be user programmed to be off and on when the device is recording. Thanks!

Thank you for the detailed response, much appreciated. I think I will wait for the the application note before diving into the re-configuring the firmware. Just tinkered with the Simplicity Studio to see how things would go and was in over my head. So, for a dummy like me I think I will solder some jumpers to C1 to signal a MOSFET to power the external preamplifier for my project. Not as elegant for sure, but hopefully will get the job done. Thanks again!
