Device clock too fast
Hello all.
I'm just starting to configure my very first AudioMoth... but i cannot set the device clock!
The USB cable is OK, there was no problem to do the recommended firmware update. And setting the clock via Configuration App seems OK too... but it does not set the time.
So then trying to set it via Chime from my Smartphone... Seem OK too... but it does not set the time. LEDs are always "red light solid + green light flashing".
My last try: installing the TimeApp. Then a surprising message occurs
:
The clock on the connected AudioMoth seems to be running fast. But it doesnt run at all. Can you please help me?

Hi Rolf, Can you describe what you see in the Config App. When you plug the AudioMoth in, the time display should go black, it will update to the current time on the AudioMoth, and will start counting up at the correct rate. It sounds like that is working?
If you see the time in the Config App then the time on the AudioMoth is set. If you switch to DEFAULT after doing this you should get a recording on the SD card with the current time stamp. If you switch to CUSTOM it will follow the schedule that you have set. It will only revert to waiting for the acoustic chime if you have requested that in the Config App on the 'Advanced' tab, or if the time has been lost (e.g. the batteries have been removed since configuring the AudioMoth). It may be that the AudioMoth is suffering a reset when trying to first write to the SD card. That would exhibit the symptoms that you are seeing. What make and model of batteries and SD card are you using? The 'clock running fast' message is caused by the Config App noticing that the time has advanced when it was set by the Time App. You can ignore that. It should also warn if the clock isn't running, so I think the AudioMoth may be resetting when trying to write to the SD card.
