Problem with Configuration

Hello,

I have a question about the settings for my AudioMoth 1.2.0. I use the AudioMoth for bat monitoring. In the caves where the bats live, there’s also dripping water. This frequently triggers my recorder, which then unnecessarily fills up my memory.

What settings could I adjust so that it really only records the bats—specifically the lesser horseshoe bats (approx. 100–120 kHz)?

Attached is my best configuration so far, but it still records far too much "noise."

Best regards,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

Frequency triggers tend to be less sensitive to background noise. If you already have a regular recording of the sound of interest, you can try out the effect of the frequency trigger settings in AudioMoth Play (https://play.openacousticdevices.info).
