We solved the problem by downloading a timesetting app from AudioMoth to a PC, connecting the device to the PC, and using the app to set the time on the device. We will still record the start and end times for the device as a failsafe. Thanks again for your assistance.

Thanks, MaryKay. Yes, someone from ES's support team did reply to me and instructed me to reflash the device with the 1.8.1 firmware. I followed his instructions, but the problem still exists even after reflashing. I have sent a follow up email to him, but I am awaiting a reply. Do you have any other suggestions?

I am following up oin this thread because I am experiencing the same problem setting up the time on my new AM device. The device was shipped directly from the EclipseSoundscapes.org. When I set the device to 'custom' both red AND green lights blink. When I set it to 'default', the red light alone blinks rapidly. I have checked the SD card, and it appears to be properly seated. The SD Card is the one that shipped - SanDisk Extreme 64GB. Can someone suggest next steps I should try?
