Aloha, This past weekend I went out to replace memory cards and batteries for my devices. Arriving at the song station, I flipped the switch from "Custom" to "Off", replaced SD card and batteries, and flipped switch back to "Custom" to return to the recording schedule. However, I received error messages (green + red blinking lights). I understand this error while switched on "Custom" signifies there is no time set or recording or no recording periods set, but this can't be correct. Three weeks ago I tested out each AudioMoth at my office to ensure it followed the desired schedule. Check. The following day when I deployed my devices I only deployed an AudioMoth if it blinked red OR green, indicating that the device was following my custom schedule. Check. But this past weekend I received this green + red error message during my first attempts to replace SD cards and batteries. This is evidently a user error, so I ask of guidance from the community. Mahalo for the help. Andre

Aloha, I have successfully flashed 40+ AudioMoths, but there are a few instances where I deal with faulty pairing between my laptop and the device. The video below shows my AudioMoth plugged in AFTER I updated the firmware (1.3.0). As you can see, my laptop will detect my device, but then it "drops it". It indefinitely repeats this process so I'm unable to set the time/configure the AudioMoth. It is not an issue with the cable, as this did not occur when I first updated my firmware through the Flash App - that process went smoothly. Mahalo, Andre

Aloha all, I am testing the recording capabilities with my AudioMoths, but the devices are not recording during the set recording period. Firmware is flashed and all up-to-date (1.3.0). If you look at my photo below in the configuration app, for example, there is a start time of 19:38 and end time of 19:45. I put sleep duration for 5s and recording duration for 200s. I configure the AudioMoth and I put it through a test run -- I make sure the switch is on Custom. When 19:38 comes around, the AudioMoth flashes green/red lights once, but instead of turning red and recording from 19:38 to 19:45, the device just continuously blinks green as if it were sleeping between recordings. I have switched between different AudioMoth devices, as well as between 32 and 64 GB sd cards, but with no success. Any thoughts? Mahalo for the help!

Hi all, We are conducting AudioMoth acoustic surveys at the same time as point-transect surveys. Secondary surveyors will be tasked with capturing acoustic data at predetermined point stations throughout the day. We recognize secondaries shouldn't hold the devices in their hand, wear it as a necklace, and so forth, because any subtle movement might distort the audio. We were thinking about attaching it to a hat (velcro?) or a headlamp. Maybe attach the device to a PVC? Does anyone have recommendations on a potential apparatus?
