It doesn't really matter but right underneath the 'PROG' label there is a reasonably large free space which is where the assemblers normally apply a blob of hot melt glue.

and for putting the glue drop: somewhere better than another? or does it matter?

We use a small dab of hot melt glue for this as it is pretty robust but is removable if you do not to access the component side in the future.
