Hello!
I just received my new Dev and I'm considering my power options. I already have a supply of 6v 6Ah (similar to these) rechargeable LifePO4 batteries that I use with trail cameras that I'd like to also use with the Dev. The Dev's datasheet talks about it being powered using a "6V lantern battery," which would suggest this might be OK. But the datasheet also specifies "6v maximum input voltage" and these LifePO4 are spec'd at 6.4v...
Yes, these 6.4V battery would be fine. The regulator will accept voltages up to 20V but will run hotter with increased temperature. There won't be much difference between 6.4V and the stated voltage of 6.0V.

You can however easily switch the crimp connectors over in the plastic housing by lifting the small plastic clips that hold them in place. Alex
