That’s good. It sounds like your USB cable could be the issue. Some are designed for charging and might be missing the data lines. Do you have another cable you can try? When in default position AudioMoth should start recording immediately with red LED flashes, unless there is an error with the SD card or the battery is low. Is an SD card inserted?
@The Team I suspected the USB cable myself after reading some support answers. I will order a new one from GroupGets to be compliant. The card is a 64GB Sandisk Extreme as suggested on the GroupGets page and the computer defaulted to exFAT for formatting the card. The computer (Windows 10 Home) recognizes the hardware, and I am able to configure the unit appropriately. Coincidently, as I write this the green LED is glowing constantly in the USB/Off position. That was not happening before. I can test the card in a camera to be sure it is in working order.
The card is in working order. I substituted the USB cable for one my wife uses to charge her Android phone. There is still no recording response in default mode, which I will need to test the unit beofre deploying it. Is there a step I haven't taken to actuate Additional Functionality?
Hi Russ, Do the LEDs light up at all?
Yes they do. When I switch to default both light and then only the green pulses once a second or so. Thanks for responding.
