Hi all,
Last autumn I have received my first AudioMoth and aimed at trying it out for the first time just now. I have downloaded all Apps, set the time and flashed the device. I have then inserted batteries and a microSD card, and tried to record according to my set schedule. However the AudioMoth started blinking in a way that indicates that either the writing proccess failed or it was at low battery (the latter being not likely as they were new).
I have tried both in custom, and default modus. Same result. I have tried out different batteries, and microSD cards (both exFAT and FAT32), without success. The microSD card is appropriately snugged, too.
I am wondering what I am doing wrong, or what else I could do to make the Moth work?
Thanks in advance and all the best,
Diandra
Hi Alex, thanks, I will contact LabMaker. I have been trying several different SD cards, such as SanDisk extreme (256 Gb, 64 Gb and 32 Gb), and Samsung Evo (64 Gb). Have read many recommendations of SanDisk extreme 32 Gb, wherefore I bought it. Did not work with any of those. Thanks again, Diandra
Hi Alex. Thanks for your response. We already flashed the AudioMoth before and it did not make a difference. We ordered the Audiomoth at LabMaker last year.
What else could we do?
All the best, Diandra
Hi Diandra, If you connect with the USB cable without batteries and switch to DEFAULT, can you describe the LED pattern that you see. If you get a flashing red LED then the AudioMoth is making a recording. Switch back to USB/OFF and check the quality of that recording. Alex
