I am seeing this for my AudioMoth recordings at some of my sites as well, @Pooja Choksi - did you find out any more information? Despite using the same configuration for all of my AudioMoths, I am only seeing these mirrored sonograms for some of them. Using RFCx Arbimon to visualize currently. Sacha

Hi Alex, No, there is no way. First, I was careful to place the device into the case by holding both sides and flatly placing the device into the case; I was also careful to look at the vent before I did this (we get a lot of rain here!). When I placed these out in the field there were no holes. When I collected them there were holes and nobody had opened the cases. My hardware version was 1.1.0 with the rounded edges. I have no idea what might have caused it. The devices were attached to bamboo tripods and left there for the entire month. Insect chewing? Sacha

Hello, I have had the same problem with holes in the membranes. I deployed 63 AudioMoths with these black cases for one month and on return 14 of them had holes in this same location as the above post. The holes were as large as the opening in the plastic in most cases. So far it does not appear to have affected the recordings or the devices but I will have better information on that later. I will use the email above, but just wanted to provide the information to the forum! Sacha

@Alex Rogers I sent photos to Andy showing all of the breaks. The clasps in both of those pictured above broke while closing. I didn't observe the break in the third one but the person deploying the device (who had no reason to open it and claims they didn't) says that it broke while they were tightening the velcro while attaching it to a bamboo tripod (pictured here). The green had run out when I ordered, so these are the black cases. GroupGets is already in the process of replacing them, but I will still contact Andy and send them to him for inspection.

Hello Andya, I have noticed that the microphone hole membrane bulges outward on first closing. I don't know where I read it, perhaps on here, but I do remember reading that it will take about 40 minutes for the case before it becomes fully waterproof and that it is suggested to not put it out until that happens. I am guessing that there is some pressure adjustment that needs to go on and both of your observations of bulging might have something to do with this? I deployed my devices and left so did not check them after that 40 minute period. Sacha

Hello @Alex Rogers, Are you still taking requests for custom firmware that allow for different sampling rates at different times? My audiomoths are currently being shipped to me, so I will be using the most recent version of everything, and 64 GB SD cards. Are you still planning on launching the AudioMoth Labs website for this purpose?
