Hello, We are recording elephant vocalizations in a zoo setting using HydroMoth (terrestrial AudioMoths were unavailable) housed in the IPX7 Open Acoustics case. As elephants communicate in an expansive frequency repertoire that will vary with call duration and context, we would ideally like to record in a wide frequency range spanning the lowest frequencies possible with AudioMoth while also incorporating higher frequencies (the literature runs the gamut from sampling rates of 2 kHz for low frequency to 22.5 kHz for higher frequency vocalizations, to provide an idea). Since we are recording in a zoo setting, we have encountered considerable pollution from background noise that occurs within the frequency ranges of elephant communication (e.g. visitor conversations, car/aircraft engines, wind, heavy machinery, lion roars, and a waterfall within the elephant habitat). Are there any settings in the AudioMoth configuration app that could potentially reduce noise pollution without excluding our target vocalizations? Additionally, does the IPX7 waterproof case affect device sensitivity and detection range in any way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Matt
