I would like to attach a JrF (Jes Riley French) 'D' Type Hydrophone (cos I have one !) to one of my AudioMoth recorders via the additional 3.5mm jack socket. I understand from JrF that the hydrophones do not need PIP etc., so theoretically should work. The information here seems to suggests that a resistor might need to be added for the system to work ?

Have we found any resolution to these odd ticking noises yet ? I have a similar problem with the two new AudioMoths with the new cases. One gives a double tick at about 0.1 sec prf with a slightly stronger syncronised pulse at about 0.5 sec the other gives a single pulse at 0.1 sec ? These are soft admittedly. but very annoying when trying to record/analyse Orthoptera calls when they become obtrusive played back at at 10 X time expansion.

Do we have a local centre for replacement plastic catches ? I have 2 new AudioMoth cases on both of which the hinge areas have failed on the black catch !

Further to above questions - I still do not understand what the numbers associated with "Enable Amplitude Threshold Recordings" actually signify ? How do I know what values to enter ? Plus, It seems one has to tell the Config App to change to UTC+1 every time you start it up. Can this not be a set once until reset function ? Plus, Saving the config does not save the newly entered "Advanced Settings" or the individual "Recording Periods" ? Yours Frustrated

I know this is a rather old thread, but, do we have a different supplier for these VOIR membranes please. I tried Alibaba as the link as above but all I got was bombarded with emails requesting bank details !!!!!

Brilliant ! That fixed it. Not very familiar with cmd.exe etc., so didn't appreciate the error messages properly. However, the screen shot in the AudioMoth Manual doesn't show the "-u" switch, perhaps this needs a look at ? Thanks again for your fantastic support ! Regards Martin

This is a necessary modification ! After testing 1 of my two new Audiomoth units I unrapped the second to deploy them and found that the “sticking out bit” was brocken off !! I don’t know when or how it got brocken but I think this mod would help in preventing this sort of problem ! Martin

Hi I was just about to reinforce Tim’s request for info’ on the likely delivery on round 2 Audiomoth to UK destinations as I thought I had seen a post from a Lady who appears to have recieved hers recently but was surprised at an import tax bill ?
