I have an audiomoth 1.2.0 (amongst others) which has stopped recording to the SD card after a hard season in the field. When I attempt to record I get the blinking lights saying no SD card detected. The SD card works fine in other Audiomoths. I have updated to firmware 1.8.1. Any suggestions on what to prod/check to work out what to prod/check to get it back up and working again? I have some SMD kit and am willing to risk this one as it is currently rather useless in its current form.

Would it be possible for the WAV headers to include the device ID? Or even better, user customisable fields. At present they are not used to the extent that they could be.

I have just retrieved a couple of moths from the field and unfortunately miscalculated the space requirements so both filled their cards. One had retrievable data (about 10% of it) before the card corrupted, and the other was toast, literally. It got very hot and broke apart in the card reader. Is there a way of having a space check in the firmware to prevent such accidents in future? The cards were Toshiba Exceria M302 32GB Micro SD Memory Card 90 MB/s 4K - THN-M302R0320EA which had functioned perfectly up until then.

An interesting discussion at https://www.facebook.com/groups/437808079587006/permalink/1915719891795810/?comment_id=1922656757768790&reply_comment_id=1935044516530014&notif_id=1524637337268625&notif_t=group_comment&ref=notif It appears that the configuration may be too aggressive in hardware amplification from the microphone for some uses.

Would it be possible to adjust the position of the switch so that the sticking out bit is within the bounds of the board? Potentially by a 1mm cutout and shifting it inboard, so that it is within the rectangular bounds of the board. It would then fit perfectly into a Really Useful Box size 70 ml. At the moment the switch requires a slight modification to the box and is easily knocked.
