removing the batteries is the reset, some random shots in the dark, have you tried with fresh alkaline batteries? and/or using USB power off the computer or a powerstore. Assuming you can write/read off the SD card in a computer, try reformatting the card. If it still will not record I'd flash the audiomoth with the latest firmware (remember to update the apps as well) - Good Luck

Flashing is used to update the AM firmware and is only needed to install a new version of firmware - for deployment all you need is the time app and the configuration app.

I've been asked about human recording while doing bat surveys, On the same basis that I'm using software to look for bats and if i did catch a voice and it would probable be the owner/housekeeper, everyone was relaxed. On a second note GDPR only applies to organisations who collect personal data - that is " any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier." I don't see a snippet of voice as falling under GDPR.

Looks like it's been pulled - for 10 vents - the postage was $45 - which is over 10 time the actual postage cost and the sponsors said they were going to look into it as it was an issue.....

I have no issue recording bats but you will need a class 10 U3 SD card so the write speed can deal with the size of data file - when you say bird and bats if that means running the audiomoth day and night - then you might need to get an SD card bigger than 32mb and ensure it is formatted to FAT32 - search the forum there has been several discussions on large fast sd cards. The AudioMoth team have a link to data files so you can look at the files for bird or bats.

I am guessing that to start adding in connectors and the wiring to have the leds and switch remote from the board would greatly increase the production cost, so making the units less afordable. So from my user perspective it is not something I would welcome.

The good news is my case works, it's had a night in UK rain and recorded a bat, I covered the hole in the acoustic cloth (see thread on acoustic cloth).

Been looking into how I could do this -I think paypal and to cover costs would be (for UK) £1.20 for one sheet inc 1st class P&P and 30p per additional sheet, of course, if you are close to Bristol UK you could pop in. The sheets have filing holes and laser cut numbers so the max size of virgin sheet is 12x12 cm.
