I'm really intereted in the 'rest of the pipeline' to detect gunshots; is this done in post-processing in Arbimon? I'm processing Audiomoth data now using Birdnet-analyze
for members of Naturesounds.org , and was thinking to try to train the model for this category of sound.
Also (... undertanding there are serious power considerations...) it possible yet to detect gunshots, with reasonable probability, on board Audiomoths using Gecko DSP magic. Certainly the dream has always been to do low-bandwidth alerting using something like LoRa or APRS; versus massive, wide-area wireless bandwidth requirements for large-scale deployment of things like Forest guardians.
But short of that, how other parks might start doing this kind of long-term monitoring and similar gunshot/bushmeat analysis.
And also, what the reality is for Audiomoth acquisition these days - I see the 'Group Gets' notices
.... It took nearly 8 months to get a 10-pack of devices + cases from LabMaker in Germany!
thanks!
