Also configuration appearing to work on FW1.2.2 and creating .WAV files but not recording any sound with settings and SD card that have worked previously. I am concerned that it has given up the ghost after only its second outing.

It came from Groupgets. Clock also resetting on USB with batteries on FW 1.4.4

Thanks Alex, it does the same with the batteries in. I also checked my USb power option settings and there is no sign that it is the laptop. It is also stable on USB power alone on the 1.2.1 firmware.

Have now flashed back to 1.2.1 and configured successfully so it would appear that it is some sort of software issue rather than hardware.
