By the way - this was the first thing I have ever had printed, and I am assuming to get things printed as cheaply as has been mentioned it helps to have access to a 3D printer yourself? Even with an engineering dept. full of 3D printers I was told I should simply order externally!

Seems this thread has been running for a long time, but I would just add I too would really like to be able to specify settings for both birds and bats rather than leave two AudioMoths in the same location which is a bigger limitation on survey design. Thanks

@Brandon Heller - wanted to add my thanks for posting this solution. I've made 30 so I hope they will allw me to get a lot of use from the AudioMoths. Couldn't get hold of any official cases, and although the cost of getting these made with a commerical 3D printer is much more than indicated for the materials (about £11), its still about 30% cheaper in total than ordering the official version.

Hello all. I was part of AM Round 9. The devices were delivered by FedEx and I did have to pay the import tax, but apparently this arrangement was made to work around the delays to shipping caused by covid. However, GroupGets had already refunded the equivalent cost of the tax back to my university's accounts dept. so in the end everything worked out the sam price. I agree this breakdown could be made clearer because I too would not have had the budget to cover tax had I not been refunded.
