Hello I ran a quick calibration test recently, and noticed that the sensitivity of my hydromoths seems to vary quite a bit between deployments (approx 3dB variation.) I suspect this is due to differences in how 'snug' the board contacts against the case each time it's slotted in - particularly the moulded pad area of the case next to the mic. Do you have any thoughts about I could improve this? I was considering adding more padding to the inside of the door, or perhaps a gasket between the mic and housing - but perhaps the latter would muffle the mic.

Hello I've just noticed that one of my hydromoths has a clock which seems to consistently run too fast. I've been watching the unit's clock while plugged in, and it running at about 1m 20s for every real minute. Is there anything I can try to reset/correct this issue? Regards Alex C

Has anyone looked into improving sound transmission/sensitivity with the underwater housing? Lamont et al 2022 showed lower sensitivity in the HydroMoth compared to a Soundtrap, presumably at least in part due to the effect of the water/housing/air media interface. I'm thinknig of applying a fluid or gel between the microphone and housing to improve transmission, e.g. silicone or silicone grease, or even trying to fill the housing with hydrophone oil. Obviously I wouldn't want to damage any components though. Would this be likely to cause any problems?
